I think it would be a great idea if we arranged a catch and release match for all to enter £5 all in all money split between the top 3 1st 50% 2nd 30% 3rd 20% it would be a good way to get to know other members and gain new members. venue sumwhere in sussex open to suggestions (seaford my sug). Who is interested????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dont just look at this post give us your thoughts and ideas so we can put plan into action. |

Sounds like a great idea, could be the start of a the first internet fishing club. If all works out donations could be made to this site for upkeep etc. Hope the moderators will become interested in helping to orgainise (if there is enough support).
You can count me in as long as i can get there.

I dont think it would be the first as we have had our first internet fishing club which is known as the "East Coast Fishing Club" but we could have other area clubs at some point maybe the South Coast Fishing Club
Cheers

Meant a south coast club, as we all know east coast fishing is detailed on this site. Would be a good venture still (if the support is there).

Hi
not been on this week so great to see so many replies. A South Coast club could be a very good idea and its something that James and I have talked about before. There are a lot of anglers on the south coast and many great venues. We are generally a friendly bunch in fact I always end up chatting to passers by or other anglers when we are out. So those of you who are not so confident in your abilities dont worry come and speak to us, if we have more experience than you we will be willing to help and if you are more experienced than us well we want your advice lol!
Tim & James
We havnt blanked this yr |

I recently done a trip to Orford with a few of the members on here and can vouch that all the members here that I have met so far have been more than willing to show you what to do , share info etc.
DuncBooth5 esp on that fateful night, showed be how to humanely kill & gut a cod I caught for keeps - (Thanks BTW Dunc 8) ).
In a SERIOUS comp, not the meet & greet type comps you get on this site, but the really big ones, you may find peeps are more guarded about their tips and tricks, but even then apart from the odd miserable lonely tw*t, most will at least give you the time of day and a litle chat. |
