We were wondering whether to go but looks like an easterly wind sat/sun with LW at 8pm sat and HW at 3am on sunday so will probably give it a miss.

Yeah not much point in bothering in these conditions Matchstick. Flat sea, high moon, easterly winds and freezing cold. Might see a few small whiting if yer lucky but that will be all.

Hmm..........maybe we'll come after all happy

We went down Eastoke last Sat and fished incoming tide till after midnight with lug, limpets and squid at various distances and only managed the usual whiting lol. Saw a bloke at IOB earlier in the day last Sat, who had fished the morning tide for 4 hours with four rods using limpets and blanked worried ..... but the week before the same bloke caught 4 bass daytime fishing the same place in a rough sea.

Got to Hayling armed with rag, lug, squid and mackeral very slow at first but was not expecting much in the day light. As the light dropped started to get a few bites but not going mad had a dab some small whitting .After 12 am started to pick up as did the wind .Fish were taking anything thrown at them end result 1 dab,3 rockling,9 pout and lost count of whitting.Mick and his daughter turned up good to see them both,Mick had a pink rod and
reel which he looked very good with but tried to say it was his daughter's kiss .Well thats it for me until the new arrival is born end of march but good luck to the rest of you. crying
