Gutted for you m8. IOTB wont be anywhere near is good but im sure you will pick up something. For lug(but it will only be blow lug) Park up on the way to hayling.(Phone box on the right just before langstone bridge) Walk through the path and get to the shore. Should be sand patches there where you can dig blow lug winking

Assuming you are going after dark - daytime will produce nothing except the odd small dab if you are lucky, you should be going for the deeper water rather than IOB. I am thinking of doing Friday or Saturday night but I shall be up around Eastoke area - much deeper water than IOB especially if you can cast 100+ yds.

Like eccles said. If you are going to fish hayling then fish the groynes at eaststoke. http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=50.781099,-0.966389&daddr=50.780177,-0.964211&hl=en&sll=50.779899,-0.963728&sspn=0.00481,0.011362&vpsrc=0&mra=mift&mrsp=1&sz=17&t=h&z=17

Park at point A And fish from point B. I usually fish at groyne 24, but found that spot B more productive winking 50-90 yards will get you in the fish. A lot of people over cast at this spot. The groynes are fish holding areas especially when its a big tide winking. Occasionally a cod will put in an appearance

It's gonna be dam cold chaps, make sure you've got yer longjohns and thick fleeces on. I will be wearing me new boots with thick insulation, my insulated ski trousers (courtesy of Lidl) and longjohns. On top will be me new lined shirt, then thick fleece then waterproof fishing jacket. Nothing gets through that lot and I can stay there for hours. 'course if you have a decent flotation suit all the better.
