hi simon
the reasons why you should
1 they are water proof
2 they are very warm
3 they have high vis striping
compaired to many well known waterproof winter clothing they are not that expensive
reasons why not to
1 cant think of any
the only thing i would say i get a 2 piece suit and not a 1 piece suit then that way if you get to warm you can take the jacket of plus the 2 piece is a lot easyer to put on and take of
cheers steve |

A word of warning, It is not advisable to wear the trousers without the jacket when boat fishing.

Sundridge is definitely worth a view. I had a suit that had a life jacket built in and in the winter it was very warm to wear. |

Another word of warning!
Flotation suits are not designed to keep you above water but are desigined to keep water in so that in the event of you falling overboard the suit retains the water that your body heats up and keeps the cold sea water out.
Most people die from hypothermia rather than drowning so a lifejacket of some discription is s must.
There a many good makes on the market but I always prefer those that are supple and dont restrict your movements too much, a warmer item of cloathing you couldn't purchase and is a good investment.
Cheers

a floatation suit is designed to keep you above the water otherwise it would be illegal under the trade descriptions act and i for one was glad to be wearing one a few years back when i was washed of the back of filey brig into the water only to be thrown back onto the rocks 20feet from where i went in and yes i was still warm when i was back on the rocks, although rather frightened
