Just had a look at my local website folks and some geezer has just caught a 20 lb smut in my neck of the woods - West Beach, Selsey to be precise. There seem to be lots of the beasts about this year - virtually everyone I know has taken at least two ranging up to 10 lb in the Solent area but the Big Mummy mentioned was truly amazing - go to the Solent Fishing Guide webby to see the photo. Seems like most are taken in the evening so get down their and have a bash after work you guys! :o |

Hi eccles,
Its was the same last year down at selsey mate, loads of smoothies ranging in all sizes. I was down there catching 10 or 12 a night last year with the best being just over 17lb and the night sessions are the best.
