Due to adverse weather moving in from the west making it unfishable, I have had no option but to cancel the Charity Comp and reschedule it for the Sunday 5th June. crying crying crying

8.8meter tide
High Water is at 2.20pm
Comp will start at 12.30pm
Finish at 5pm

Hi Guys, not that I want to rub salt into the wounds but my son and I fished Fleetwood this afternoon behind the Leisure Centre and had a descent day with 1 Bass (1 1/2 lb) 1 cracking dab and umteen yting all taken on lug. big grin big grin : big grin

Regards

Gizz

ps. Kieth the Cadet Base where we normally fish is unfishable (in my opinion ) due to the sand bars high up the beach.

We will be there on the 5th June mate

I'm glad that I was informed of the weather situation by Gizz so that I was able to inform the members early of the postponement of the event.

Having looked at the weather update it was a wise choice as the forecast is even worse than first predicted. wind and rain from 27mph to 32mph.

Gizz informs me that the cadet base may not be a wise choice due to new sandbanks appearing and that behind the Leisure center may be a better alternative, that is if everyone knows the Leisure center.

Looks like the right decision was made. Winds from 36mph decreasing to 28mph with driving rain. Thanks Gizz my mate for saving the day.

Just a quick note, with the sandbanks appearing high up, won't that create deeper water below them?

Just a gentle BUMP as not much interest has been forthcoming, I have got to wondering if the members still want this event to take place as no posts have been made of late.
