Turned up at 4.30 with Ian expecting toboard captain cabs boat, but shiver me timbers i was told to walk the plank to macers The Growler.Looking forward to a great days fishing weather was a little drizzley at the start but the captainIan (Growler)put us straight on the fish with macer ian and myself all catching rays withe the first cast, unfortunatly my fish came off the hook right at the side of the boat(which looked like the winning fish of the day must i add lol!)stayed there for about 4 hours with us all catching roker and numerous doggies.

Then we moved off right in the middle of the towers and roped off onto one of them, where we were using red gill and whiting as live bait looking for bass a nice bass was caught by the skipper of 4/5lb and another one was caught by someone else cant remember who though slightly smaller. After that we moved out further east where we caught more skate and doggies then i pinched a couple of crabs of macer(cheers jason)and caught a nice starry smoothie which was probaly about 4/5lbs at a guess. All in all another great days fishing with the forum crew and thanks to the Growlers skipper Ian for always putting us on the fish. And comiserations to cabbus on losing the captains hat ,well done macer, and well done ian me old mucker on catching the biggest fish! big grin and as already said big thx to kop for setting it all up happy

its funny how the pain of organising soon vanishes when you get out there and start catching. Had a wonderfull day out with cabrats motley crew, who made me very welcome. Well done to macer for making a phonecall to his skipper and getting the low down on tactics. Trevor made me laugh as he drove out of thr carpark........."Your captain lost that for you by not getting the info you needed" lol devil

Will have a good long think about how to tackle the next one and improve things. Main issue as always is MONEY! If that came in as easy as the fish did saturday things would be so much simpler.

ta ta till the next one..........oh and at least i never lost!!!
