The 2011 forum boat comp is being brought froward to May to try and avoid the hit/miss cod season and snow etc etc.
Date for the new comp is saturday 7th may. we will be alighting from bell wharf NOT two tree island. There is ample parking within yards of the wharf at a cost of around £6/8 i think. free parking is available on the opposite side of the road (hopefully someone can give better directions etc) and you walk over the footbridge. There is parking actually on the wharf itself but this will be restricted only to organisers and their vehicles (ie me, cabrat and macer with no exception i am afraid). it may be an idea to drop off your tackle etc and shuttle to two tree or the free parking.
times are yet to be confirmed but will no doubt be an early start as usual. will try and sort a breakfast venue nearer the time or get cabrat and his barbie there early lol.
target species will be skate, smoothound and bass (hopefully!!)
the cost will be £32.50 of which £7.50 will be non refundable. the last comp cost me a fortune as it turned on its head big time, let alone mobile phone bills. I regret having to enforce this but need some protection, hope you all understand. Again if you book, you will only get the remainder back if we can fill the space........its not easy gents, trust me!

The entry money will include....
your space (non transferable)
£50 first prize (assuming all three boats run!!! arggggh)
£50 for the rnli
chance to win a lovely shiny trophy...(i have one, vernon has one and shadow lee has one.....cabrat only has a hat!)
gratuities for the boat skippers colin, trevor and ian who all do a great job for us on the day.
you are all responsible for your own bait, tackle etc.
comp rules.
one rod per person and maximum three hooks,
heaviest fish wins
individual boat sweeps are done at the discreetion and under the supervision of each boats captain..ie. me, cabrat and macer.
due to the fact that teams went belly up last time round, please bear with us while we allocate your place....these may be shuffled later on to accomadate various factors.
spaces will only be secured with FULL payment. (some have part payments in place from last comp refunds)

It might only be a hat i possess but it is worth my weight in gold cos I have it as opposed to Kopite.
