It's a pity bonefishing is so far away and so expensive to get to. I've been once and I know of no fishing more magical. Oh those turquoise and emerald flats.
Thanks for the pictures. |

Colin,
Thanks for taking the time to put your experience into words!
I can attest that Colin did indeed note all his experiences in his diary. While the rest of us would be casting to Tarpon off the deck of the Hotel, Colin would be dutifully jotting down his thoughts into his diary each evening.
The aft deck where we spent quite a few hours recounting the day's adventures
It was a pleasure to meet you Colin.
Colin meeting up with us for a lunch on the beach
Mates, ... when we'd meet up each evening to recount the day's adventures, Colin's eyes would just literally light up ... much like a child on Christmas morning.
A more passionate angler will be hard to find!

Lunch break ... somehow, I don't believe our Scottish friend is thinking about the snow and cold! |

Hi Chris.
Thanks very much for posting a lovely report and great photos. My wife was especially interested to see images of the floating hotel and the dining room, as I had neglected to photograph anything that was not fish or water!
You are absolutely correct in that every day felt like christmas day during the wonderful time spent on the Tortuga.
Sincerely hope that I bump into yourself and the guys on the next 'trip of a life time'.
Tight lines.
