If you find the abu 6000 a good real then i would buy another abu one of the 6500 series? i persaonally have the 6500 C3CT...

Laying the line on by hand just takes a bit of geting used to but after a few sessions you will be able to do it in the dark or with ur eyes closed!

It depends on what kind of fishing you do but you might want to look at the recent forum topic "reel help" where the merits of various multipliers are discussed

Just get the level wind took off your reel. It's a decent casting reel which is good enough for most of the fishing round here. A Slosh 30 is a very good all purpose reel which has decent casting, good retrieve, strong, will last for a long time (with care) and is fairly cheap.

hey mate, give the penn 525 535 and even 545 a look at. i use the 525 and 535 for distance casting and the 535 especially is right at home pulling cod from the kelp.

i service and even modify my own, and if i cant break them you wont!
