Hi there
Does anybody fish around this side. Ive been plugging for bass but no luck as yet. Also got a beach caster and was wondering what the best bait and state of tide would be?
Thanks for any help

Not sure about your area but general bass fishing can be done in a number of ways. You can either give a long cast and get schoolies or wait for a decent swell (tide on flood) and cast into the 3rd breaker. Bass seem to feed here on the loose bait stirred up by the waves. Best baits are usually crab or rag worm although sand eel can be killers. Spinning can also produce some nice bass (apparently silver spinners seem to be best). Believe it or not I've never caught a bass as they aren't really round my area and I've never targeted them either. Like most of my knowledge, I've picked it up from programmes and mates. I'm sure not anyone will disagree with what I've told you though. |
