not been after them myself not even had the odd one by chance. i dont think there has been to many around my area this year from what i have heard. sorry concrete can i go back to your line loading. was it a multi or fixed spool you where doing. if multi can you please tell me the best way you find to load them so the line lay is even [i am a pain i know] any help would be great thanks.

This is not the cheapest option for line lodaing, but from Veals you can get a Berkeley line loader. Cost about £15.00. It has a reel seat that you can attach a reel to, either F/S or Multi and a spigot, I think its called that, onto which you put the the line spool. They are not brilliant as you need to tape the spigot or spindle into place, as the fittings it goes into are not brilliant and it tends to fall out , whch means you end up trying to hold the spigot in place with one hand whilst winding with the other.

The cheap way is mount the reel on the butt section of the rod, put the spool in a bucket of water, and or, run the line through a telephone directory to help maintain tension whilst winding on.
