it looked abit windy for me today, i went to the pier yesterday and had 1 cast then went on the little beach it was far to windy for me my seat box was even blowing over. had a little codling on the small beach my mate had the 2 codling, was some others fishing aswell they were gettin flatties and codling was no wind on the beach nether.

im goin diggin tomorrow so might be down the pier tomorrow night depending on the wind, but the wind seems to have died down tonight hopefully be like this all weekend tougue

good luck scoob hope u catch some nice ones

went to s/s pier as planned last night, just got back in, weather forecast was spot on wind died just as was arriving, and sea was quite calm as well,

had a slow start with 1 codling in the first 3 hours or so, then had another codling and a dab then around 3am they started biting, ended up with a total of 8 codling and 1 dab, 4 where of size so came home with me the other 4 where returned unharmed.

thought my second to last cast had produced a very decent fish, struggled to reel it in and could feel a fish thumping, realy struggled to get it up the pier wall, only to find a codling of about a pound and half together with a big ball of line and weights from about 3 rigs people must have lost, after closer inspection 1 of the rigs was mine from the prev week, so even tho was a disapointment the fish wasnt the monster i thought it was least i got some weights back tougue

i generaly climb round the gates and fish the end, best place if you not willing to climb round is just infront of them fishing into the river side...

i fish a bit further towards the beach, there's a couple of spots where the rocks are far thinner on the ground so a lot less tackle loss. i seem to do fiarly well. plus if it gets to windy from the north north west, you can just about hop over the wall and get some shelter from the rocks and fish into the sea.

the best haul i've seen recently was actually from the bigade hut a lad spinning as it got dark... had a bag with fish spiling out of it.
