Hi guys,

left pompey last night to fish over gosport way, ended up around the salterns road area. fished from about 1 hour prior to high water untill about 5.30am this morning.

Me, my girlfriend and a couple of our friends fished one rod each, baits were rag, lug, squid and fresh peeler with the latter doing the most damage.

My mate and i had a couple of decent smoothies each and i also had a small bass, my g/f had her first ever fish which was a smut pup, and our other friend had a small thornback.

We don't have any scales (yet) but i would quite like to know if anybody has an idea of what size the smoothies are, especially the big boy that i caught, my guess is it was easily double figures.

Anyway, i haven't posted any pics here before and i'm not sure how, so wish me luck and hopefully you can have a look at them happy

tight lines guys

Ben

The big one certainly looks like a double to me. Nice fish, well done.
