we have deep water and strong tides up here and as long as you dont use a massive feeder you'll be fine, i've seen some guys fishing massive versions and this is where the problem can come in. you dont need much bait to get a good scent trail going so a small feeder is all i use. if you want to try a large feeder i advise cutting long strips in the feeder to allow the bait to get out quickly and for the current/flow to go through.
i admit there are a few problems but if you use something about film canister size you shouldnt have any problems if you've got a decent fixed lead out. (by decent i mean decent wires that actually hold) |
