well like all great plans it went t*ts up from the start with me haveing to work an extended shift till 20.00.
hence met hartley at my place and set off in the rain at 10pm,
arriveing just before midnight, at least the rain had stopped, fished from then till 0400.
high tide was for 1am, i wanted to fish more of the flood, it was a 4.6m spring, with a huge 'orrible full moon that fortunately was hid behind a very overcast sky till 3am.
baits were mackerel/squid and some nice fresh rag i dug yesty.
rigs were, pulleys for me and a 2 ook flapper for hartley
things started slow and got no better.
scores to finnish were - hartley- blanked
myself - 2x small pout & a smut of about 12 inches
much better that recent efforts. |
