I'm off to Exmouth this weeend for a bit of Bank Hol fishing. We'll be doing some boat and some beach/rock.
Can anyne advise on some good spots, and what is biting down there at the moment? We're particularly interested inteh Bass - who isn't!
Thanks

Hi mate, I used to live in Exmouth. Best skipper was Mike Baker, don't know whether he is still going though.
Also I used to fish with lures at low water alongside the slipway and hook some decent bass - start about 1/2 hour before LW then fish the rise for a couple of hours by casting straight across the main channel. |

Thanks Rich |

You have to know your wrecks which is why Mike Baker was so good; he knew every wreck worth fishing within 25 miles of Exmouth. You should be able to find them marked on your charts and after 10 years away, I can't remember them but do recall one which was between 4 and 6 miles south of Sidmouth which was particularly good for Bass. |
