Hard to beleive but the recent spell of mild weather has raised the H2O temp in Chichester Harbour to the same level as this time last year, so perhaps the arrival of our silvery friends won't be delayed after all. happy

Good luck for tomorrow Chris. Venturing out with bassfly in the morning to get the casting arm loosened up a bit.
Water temp is now higher than the corresponding day last year. The long wait is almost over big grin

Temp is definately rising, have a look at this. A couple of weeks ago this map was nearly all blue.

Went out on a charter boat today and the skipper hasn't seen any bass yet. All the winter species are still around as well, so there may be a little wait. We have whiting, pout, doggy, turbot, wrasse and thornback ray

Obviously we were rather further than the average cast but if the cold species havent left yet then maybe most of the summer ones are still waiting for the temp to rise

Just a thought

Chris

Sorry to say the weather is about to turn cooler and is looking c**p for the bank holiday. As if we haven't waited long enough already for spring to come. Ah well, back to the vice again.

Bloody Hell Col, what vice have you developed?

Will you need rehab or a STD Clinic?

I was hoping that wet wading through a shoal of Bass would sort my crab problem out. Nature's remedies, always the best.
