Ventured out for the first time this year, last Saturday. Nothing to report except that it was VERY cold!

Good to 'loosen the arm up' a bit though!

Will be out again tomorrow, so praying for a bright sunny day to lift the water temps, and see if the last two hours of daylight bring any success.

Good luck to anyone else trying their hand this weekend.

Not been out yet but mught do a little scouting this weekend. I will be out and about in the week of the 22nd. Guess we will see if the waders made it through winter and if they were cleaned properly and not rotted

Spent a nice couple of hours yesterday tea time in the sunshine, fishing from low tide up, at the venue we started on this time last year. No fish, though my friend had a couple of tentative plucks, so we think their there, but the sea temps are still too cold for positive action. Lots of sea birds about including cormorants, all looking quite expectant so maybe we aren't too far away now. Anyone else make the most of the sunshine this weekend?

Hi,
I managed to escape for a couple of hours today for a pre-season reccy.
Had a good walk along the shoreline at Chichester harbour at low tide.
Some dramatic changes to the shape of the shingle banks but the Winner looks pretty much the same.
There has been some extensive work carried out by the council moving shingle around and they have created some nice cusps right near the point.
Made some mental notes then trod in a dog shit

Cheers
Simon
