Hi mate, The only advise I can give is in setting up the reel properly.
First of all tighten the brake so that when the weight is releaed in the free spool position, the weight hits the ground without the reel overr=unning and creating a birds nest, second dont try to hit the horizon but keep your cast smooth.DISTANCE CAN BE ACHIEVED LATER when you fnd the poition of the brake so that over run does not happen. Dont slow the reel down but stop it dead when the weight hits the water. Best of luck mate.
cheers

Which model ambassadeur is it?
What line ?
Where do you live ?
What exactly is going wrong ?
If you can tell us the problems then we can give you the answers and point you in the right direction to happiness. |

We had 13 posts on this thread before forum screwed up.
The OP had replied twice and supplied all the info asked for . I think he said he was based at Eastney.
I think everything was sorted before the change over. |

That explains it then- progress! lol
everyone's just pittling into the wind trying to help unless they know exactly what the problem is- Thats why I referred to a response from the OP Pompey especially as there were 3 replies within 5 hrs of the original post but no sign of Mr Dingleberry giving more details of the problem |

omfg what a nightmare we have had.well the reasone i have not reposted the info is we have just been through 65hours if labour folowed by and emergency eppidural not good.however i am now a very proud father of a young lady with no name yet but she weighs 6lb12oz
any way back to the info witch I DID POST it is an abu ambassadeur 65000CT PH and the line is F1 20lb 0.38mm.and the problem seems to be that when i take my thumb off the spool i feel like im doing it to late and i dont seem to have much confidence with it now due to the amount of birdsnest.does anyone think that it might be worth me selling this one and putting the money towards a better one???
clarissa i live in eastney righ on the sea front and am very intrested in your help please pm me with some details.
stewarty thank you very much for the offer but not sure if i will fish now till the summer but there is no doubt that i will come and watch when there is a match you all seem like top people! |
