Went to Salthouse with CD on Saturday. Started fishing 9.30am until 4pm.
Between us we caught 2 Whiting 25cms and 11 Dabs all over 22cms.
Seeing as this is the first time I actually caught any fish (5 out of the above) I was well pleased. CD was pleased with his 8 too. Used lug worms tipped off with mackie or squid.
Sammy Seal was watching us for about 20 minutes. He was a huge white seal and was only 20 yards out. Just stopped there watching us with his big black eyes.
Weather was misty but not too cold.
A good day out and very pleased to break my duck.
Did not see any other anglers about - but then again could not see more than 100 yards because of the mist/fog.

Well done Iceburg - it's a great feeling when that first fish comes up the beach isn't it. It's been so long since I last caught fish I've almost forgotten what it's like so I'm glad to hear that others are starting to get a few again, even if they're not round this part of the coast - yet happy
