We fished the North Wall yesterday and had a fairly good day pulling out Flatties. One or two other guys had the odd whiteing too, but not us.
The sea was flat calm with a lot of colour, wind about 10/15mph. Fished from say, 2pm til 8pm. evening temp dropped to -2 dg. We were hopeing that the whiteing would come in or the odd cod but sadley, NOT!

We used Black Lug, fresh mussels and macki which all caught plus rag which didnt. We also fished a Pennel with squid bombs on the bottom hook of a 3 hook flapper. I think the flatties had a feild day nibbling the things and sucking them dry. I did catch a decent size one though which was lip hooked on the larger 4/0 pennel hook. Spooky!

Hi, sea state has been calm in the last week, with mainly north westerly. fishin for me has been poor in the last 5 weeks, I live here and normally never blank but have last 3 trips!!!

Small flatties, very few whiting. My last good trip at xmas produced 30+ whiting (half a dozen of size) and flatties. Thing must get better soon?
