the ship im on came alongside in oslofor a couple od days. After no luck for a few hours with mackerel on the bottom ( the only bait i had onboard) i tried a string of hokais. to my amazement within the first two hours i had a cod, a gurnard and severel herring. not bad eh |

Ai cheers, was just glad to catch we fished at anchor off north coast of scotland a few weeks before and had nothing all night between five or six or us, then fished again using mackerel on the bottom on the gulf of bothnia near sweden and had nothing between us. So to catchab fe was great. This weekend just gone we fished off on Losymouth scotland and had enough mackerel to feed an army, and i took a few aside for bait and later that night i had a monkfish and a plaice on long thin strips. |

Hokies are imitation fish with a few tufts of tinsel or feathers at the rear end of them are are sometimes flurecent.. similar to a fearthering setup
