hi
woodmill is were the river itchen meets the tidal part below the mill there is a free freshwater stretch from just above the white swan at mansbridge down to woodmill not an easy stretch as fished a lot but the regulers seem to come up with the goods, below the mill is the tidal stretch but produces bass mullet etc and one side has good access being a park.there is also a salmon pool there but only you could afford it not for poor people like me lol.
