Well it has been a while, what with illness and the bad weather.

I got some welcome news today, my application for a resident pontoon mooring at Brightlingsea has been approved.

This will mean I will be taking the boat out of the Thames Estuary.

The benefits far outweigh the cheapness of Southend, just one example would be she will be sitting in permanent water and able to get out at any state of the tide...that is a god send, no more 24hrs on the boat for an 8 hour trip anymore, freezing me wotsits off...

So, the Free trips are still up for grabs, just means a bit more travelling..sorry!

Weather permitting I expect to take her round soon as the Contract is from April to April...just hope for some good weather.

I do have somebody that knows where to fish round this area, has been fishing it for 20+ years, so once I get the marks we should be ok...there is always the radio anyway..

I suppose I will now have to make my posts in the East section, so keep an eye out there..

Cheers
Cliff

Yep, know John myself, been out a few times with him...in fact it was not long ago I had a chat with him on his boat, he had just had the new engine fitted....very nice bloke, and very knowledgable.

I'll have to find out what channel he listens to and give him a call once I am there...

Once I have settled in I'll let you all know and the trips can begin..

Cheers
Cliff
