Firefly angling sell inexpensive rods, and they have a number of good reports. I know their 13ft bass rod comes with an adjustable reel seat so you can discard that and use coasters.
They do a heavier rod, forget it's name, but I don't know if it also has an adjustable reel seat that can be discarded, I would suspect that it has. Check out their web site and see what it says. |

Hi bargie
Castors are similar to jubilee clips and allow you to fix your reel anywhere up the rod handle. If you look on ebay under sea fishing reels you will see them advertised.
You can move the reel up & down the rod for best balance position

Hi again Paul
Coaster are like has been said adjustable jubilee clips used for multiplier reels allows the user to mov the reel up or down the rod depending on your arm length so that you can get full extension of the arm when casting for better distance, balance etc. |

Was just explaining to other poster what Coaster were as he didnt know was not suggesting he uses jubilee clip just giving him a like for like. However the older model of coasters if over tightened the the head use to detach made it a nigtmare to remove or put on the real on occassions so always useful to have a few jubilee clips or cable ties handy in your box incase this happened and you could temporarily carry on fishing. But today we have sliding reel seats. |

Coasters are so much out of favour with me that I bought a brand new Daiwa Supercast and at £230 and had a fugie Reel seat fitted at an extra £50.
Cheers
