hi everone, well my daughter and i fished white park bay today, well she fished and i sat there like a plum while she caught flatties, coalies, whiting and i on managed to dogs. she was even getting to coalies at a time. think i want to cry i was really after something big with large baits but her first flattie, first cast was a beauty and i neary fell of my box. hope everyone else had a good a time todat as she did. They will be some great photos for her to look back on Nick. Hows she getting on with the casting? Well done for getting out.

she had her two rods and during the day fished with one and practiced casting with the other, she is getting better, good enough to catch more than me. |

Sometimes its the young uns that can show us a thing or two when they put their mind to it. Well done she looks like she really enjoyed the day by the pics and she aint afraid to handle them.

ye she loves it. thought it was only the summer fishing for pollock and mackeral but she likes just to get out and fish and show up here dad. |

i know wot you mean, i tuck my 4 year old out the other day since i had some bait left off the night b4 . she was using a old kids rod i got from a boot sale its so bendy that i couldnt put a weight any bigger then a 1oz on in case it snapped , we where out for a hour and she got 3 coilies , where i blanked, it was her first ever trip and her face just lighted up it was just magic . she now wants me to get her a new rod from the shop coz shes seen a pink kids one in the shop. |

i bought my duaghter a spinning rod for the pollock and catching 3 to 4 lb fish her rod wasnt holding up, so i bought the pink lady luck bass rod and reel with a bit cut off the butt for her to use. now she has two diawa supercast x 12foot for the beach. she has the gear and can catch the fish. i have all the gear and catch hee haw. |

well weekend nearly here and my wife is working again, so this weekend it might be morlough bay. really want to go back to white park bay but i rather low tide was in the afternoon |

Good to see the fish are still around. I am originally from Coleraine myself but am living in Guildford past 6yrs. I do get home a few times a year and fish with my best mate "NEWTY". You probably know him if you shopped in the Great outdoors.
Its also great to see the young ones catching and i notice she is wearing a floatation suit, good lad.
Not home till June so leave some for me!!
