Just noticing that most of the SWF Fisherman appear to come from Portsmouth, Chichester, Stubbington etc etc (and all jolly nice chaps too)
Am i the only one from Southampton or points west of Swanwick?
Could it be due to the lack of suitable SWFF marks in southampton water Or lack of interest?
Just seems that i am out numbered by my Friends in the East.  |

More of a Missonary on the extremities of the empire?
Over on the Island yesterday visiting our Quarries.
Looks like nice deep water off the beach at Cowes, any good? |

Cowes, deep, yes with strong tides, some good fish to be had down there, tried a bit of swffing down there myself this year, but difficult due to weed and clearance behind you for casting, public walking up and down etc.
Had plenty of fish on bait down there in previous years, and ok for spinning
when weed not too bad. I know lots of Mackerel and bass get down there in the summer plus good specimens of most other species from time to time too
Plenty of other more suitable places for swffing though  |
