What a fantastic looking fish. Well done.
Is the fly you use a subsurface pattern?
Yes, it was a size 10 wet version of the Red Tag. I have a couple of Red Tags tied as dry flies which I've still to try. Might work when the Mullet are feeding hard on the surface.
I get the feeling that Mullet are attracted to the colour red. A flexi-floss bloodworm can be very effective. I intend to experiment with a variety of trout flies with red tails, such as Blue zulu, Bloody butcher, KE-he etc to test that theory.
Tight lines.
