At bloody last, i didnt blank.

decided yesterday go and dig some lug at west mersea, then took the whole family to clacton last night. got there about 2030 set up and fishing by 2100, had a couple of bites but missed them, then at about 2200 pulled in a little codling. Not a keeper.

Did a couple of more hours with nothing much more.

At least i didnt blank.

Got chatting to to another angler there and he gave me a couple of good marks to got to around there.

Si,

Well happy with last night good couple of bites as well, and the tide was going out, really nice night, excellant weather.

Just across from the Hotel/pub or by the radio mast/tower thing.
apparently there have been a few doggies caught by the rocks opposite the pub recently. And bass and codling caught by the tower. We could try both if you want

Just out of interest how do you keep lug on the hook, tried bait elastic but that just squirts all thier guts out.

i mainly use a pennel hook which i wrap around the bait and a bait clip called an imp as i myself do power casting and have never had my bait explode only the reel lmao it may also be down to the knot your using to tie your hooks on but will help all that out thursday so you dont have them problems with your bait.. myself would only use elastic for when i use a whole squid or peelers as there bigger and you can rest asured its still on the hook but as i say any real problems i can iron out for you to make your fishing experaince better its the least i can do ...as for the place were going to go will be holland haven im just trying to work out where along there as iv done all the way along over time and always found my best spot to go is kings road area but we'll see how we feel lol
