hi guys went and had a scratch about on the pier, with some success,i was a couple of hours behind high water, wind was gentle northerly and the sun was nice.
i was using squid ona 3 hook flapper sz 1/0s and a 2 boom rig with sz 4s baited with some rag a chap gave to me as he was packing up (big thanks).
set the boom rig quite close in 20yrds ish and flapper at distance 9as far as i could get it lol).
had a couple of very small pout a keeper whiting and a small starry hound but the best was to come on the boom rig, which took myself and a few others on the pier by absolute surprise........
just under 2lb grey mullet, thought it was a bass at first!!
sorry about pic quality as im still getting used to my new digital camera
