Hi all ,

Had another go down at Shoreham beach along from west arm last Sunday, day tide.
Very light south south westerly, weed on the beach still but only at the very edge of the water as the tide came up.(had more prob's with other water users than weed this time, although still caught well!)
Dug red and white rag to fish with and fished three hours up and three down with two rods.
First cast had small school bass, returned.
Had a further eight bass , two good keepers, others all returned (was surprised the bass were around as it was so calm!), also had half a dozen flounders with a couple of real crackers in amongst them, full of roe.
Not a sign of a goldie mullet this time though, thought they would have put in an appearance, was surprised! had a spare rod set up with feathers in case the mackerel showed up, tried during the day but not a sign of them on this trip!
Had a couple of 'topless' bathers next to where i was fishing winking (nearly fell over my tackle box!), so all in all a good day apart from the jetskiers, kayaks(non-fishing) and paddling surfboarders.
Even had a pet seagull next to me on the beach that chased everything i caught as i was reeling it up the beach, never had that before! quite a day!

Tight lines everyone

Busadon happy happy .

Glad someone had a good day at Shoreham last Sunday. For the first time for a while I blanked both using floatfished prawns by the coastguard lookout and on sandeel, lug, rag and mackie on the western arm. I only saw one garfish caught on the arm and, with the tide running hard making holding bottom a trial (not least for other anglers whose lines were continually swept across mine), I gave up at about 2:00. I'll try another location this Sunday! Cheers. Kev
