hi everyone,was fishing causeway area last night with the mrs and the wane, and caught mackrel ,very good size pollock, coalies, flatties, doggies, big red gurnard, with the small ones, pouting and a red scorpion. best evenings fishing i have had around here in a few hours since fishing here. we all lost some very big fish ,( ye the ones that got away ) but ye there are a few big fish with lures hanging out them, so if you catch one with one, its mine.ha

hi everyone, i fished my spot again with my daughter from 4pm til 8 and had pollock and coalfish coming out my ears.first 3 fish were over 2lb with one nearly 4. had well over 20 fish on the float using makeral as bait. had so many better fish than using rag or lures. the wane also caught two big whiting, a joey makeral and a large sandell with the coales and pollock she was catching on lures. tougue
hope other people are catching also.

another good week last week with mackeral all week in the morning and with 21 on friday fishing for a few hours. have sandeels coming out my ears also.loads of winter bait. also been taking small codling red gurnard, and very big coalfish. oh cant forget the pollock but not very big this week.

Give us a clue to where that mark is, there is no fish in belfast at present
I need some macrel bait for some conger fishing with my son i promise not to steel all your fish happy happy

hi, you can fish anywhere from portbaddan to the giant causway itself. alot of good marks but found an hour either side of low tide last week was best. but it can change like the weather.tryin low tide today when the wane finishes school.will let you know.

well a poor night, 1 codling, 1 pollock about 3lb, 1 mackeral , 1 sandell and 20 6inch coaleas and pollock. some might think not a bad night but after the fish i have had only a week ago it has given me the feeling its over again for another year. hope not. next try sunday all day.

The mackerel should be around for another three or four weeks depending on the weather. If it is windy it quite often drives the shoals into deeper water.

Down here they are coming in at dawn and dusk, they dont seem to mind the tide state wether its low or high.

The pollack should be around until Christmas then they dissapear until March. At least you have Cod up there, we dont get any in the West, just the occasional small codling.

hi,fishing tomorrow all day,was speaking to someone tonight that thinks the mackerel still going to make a big appearance as they move round to the north sea.heres hoping big hug

fished a causeway thursday teatime with my daughter and she caught 5 mackeral,i caught some whiting and a codling.no pollock??? but for the second time down there have seen a very very big fish turn at the surface as it came close to the rocks.the wane thought it was a shark of some sort???????? last time a seagul came down to peck at it and i just saw a mouth open to bite it.time for a whole mackeral as bait

hi everyone,went fishing at my usual spot from 9.30am til 1pm and was able to catch 2 mackeral, 3 coalies, 1 codling and a nice pollock about 3lb. good to see the mackeral still about and it keeps the freezer full for the winter months. tight lines to everyone:bye1:

hello everyone,hope you are all out enjoying the weather. fished my spot today and only caught a mackeral and codling spinning, and a coalie on float with mackeral.lost a good fish?? as we all say but i did ,it took off the other way picking my bait up.15lb line bitten through.have seen something big around this area and i always say i will take 80 braid and fish for it but never do.
came home early as the wane felt not well, there was a boy fishing along from me and he was catching some very nice wrasse. anyway tight lines everyone and hope you have done better than me today.

There are a good number of big Bullhuss around at this time of year, it was probably one of them, unless it made a big run withyour bait and then it could have been a tope.
