arrived at my chosen destination at 08.30,southwestly too strong on the winner bank.move to the shingle bank at the far end .fished a little channel and caught a bass about half a pound .stayed for hour and a half ,frustration with the mullet got the better of me.fished all the way round to the oyster beds ,bumped into three fellow swffers from london, they caught a couple of bass happy days .the wind started to get stronger so i made for the shingle bank again to ambush the bass on the ebbing tide only somebody ambushed them first cause there wasnt a sign of them.still end result was two schoolies good day out ,used the new gear and missed the ferry home so had to stay for a hour in the ferry boat happy days .mick |

Hey Mick, There's a couple places to check the wind forecast that I use if you want???? I agree it was to dam windy (and weedy) today. I cycled down the front and watched some fellas struggling with both then decide to have a chuck meself hoping the wind would drop (there's no fool like an old fool). Gave up after an hour as the wind got even worse. Never mind, looks like we might get some calmer weather and later tides next week so will probably have another go in the evening Weds - Friday. |
