Go to your local "pound shop " check out the 6" glow stick 3 for a quid, take a decent size hook 3.0 plus, tie off a snoud about a meter long and tape it to the length of the glow stick with silver air conditioning tape leave enough of the glow stick revealed so as when you activate it,it's still visible to the fish..............BINGO!!!!!! you have a killer lure for Pollock,Mackeral, and hopefully Bass |

Joliroger,
nice tip mate, but what about a swivel on one end to attach to your reel line, tying the hook to the other end, and taping the glow stick to the end with the hook.
This maybe what you meant, but i had to work it out, the way you put your tip together.
Quite simple really, but some may need pointing in the right direction.
Tight lines,
Bryan. |

youcan also get the party ones 20 for a quid, that come with little adaptors that you can gaffa to the end of your rod tip, make excellent night lights and they glowfor a good 10+ hours just leave the adaptors on place and replace glow stick as required ive use this method for over a year now and its saved me a small fortune for night fishing.Andy1i |

Update to my original posting , check out the necklaces !!!!!!!!..........perfect approx 3.5 cm with a hole running the lengh of the phial, this fits right next to your lure, spinner etc, depends where you fish ie what the sea is like but truly visible, i will be trying them out, if you do, give some feedback so it can be compared
Cheers Joliroger |

I had a night out with some of these on barge pier about 10 days ago, didn't catch anything tho. I got these from the pound shop 6 for a quid. I used a quarter inch bit of plastic tubing I found in the cupboard and stuck the treble and glowsticks like thus, A slightly larger bit of tubing and I could of got 3 glowsticks in there. They're cheap on ebay and I've found the green ones are brightest and last the longest. |

Hi Andy,
Of course you are quite correct "necessity is the Mother of invention", I was indeed in error!!!!!!!, however, after a few cans of Guiness it did seem to flow and seem appropiate and at the end of the day I like it much better................(authors licence and all that ).
Respect & Regards, JOLIROGER P.S re Heath Robinson one crazy dude!!!!! he truly was in the "zone" |
