Hi all,
I have been visiting the Llyn Peninsular all my life with family, any tips for bass/mackerel fishing off the Porth Dinllaen peninsular would be much appreciated. I'm a complete novice and I was thinking of trying lures off the headland, is this a reasonable way to try.

I also have been going to the Llyn for years, great isn't it?
Not done a lot of lure fishing, but the bits I have done Ive had pollock around most rocky outcrops.
I've seen massive shoals of mackerel & & seen people catch them, but never been in the right place myself with a rod!
A friend catches bass off the beaches & rocks using lures, but I always seem to get pollock (Not complaining though!)
I've caught all sorts off the lifeboat wall at Porth Dinllean, using all methods. The bloke in the tackle shop at Pwhelli is very good to ask about where to go.
I'll be up there in August again. Best of luck & let us know how you get on. |
