What must i do to catch some fish, I spent 6 hours fishing today a couple of miles up from clacton pier and what did i get for my troubles, Sunburnt!!!! oh and 5 breakaway weights that i dragged up, am i doing something wrong. I used rag and a combination of either squid or mackeral i even tried a couple of limpets i got of the piles and all i succeded in doing was to feed the crabs.

HELP

Hi Rayman, we've all suffered this more than once, I sometimes think there must be regiments of the little darlings treating it like a takeaway. If your bait is close to the floor they will get it. the only solutions are, to float fish, use feathers etc, or try a different location. better luck next time. Cheers..Mick

Thanks mick, I have got some feathers that i havnt used yet so will give them a whirl next week. any special way of using feathers seeing as though i have never used them before
