fished at hillhead this morning and was appalled by the amount of rubbish left by the "fishermen" that had fished along the wall last night. it doesnt take much effort to put it back in your car when packing up, i'd like to think it wasnt anyone from this site but we all need to make sure we take our rubbish home with us.
rant over, tightlines

its very upsetting......some young "fishermen" threw rubbish on the ground in front of me....like it was a acceptable course of action.

Hi flyfisher, nice meeting you today. Unfortunately, Hill Head is left in that condition regularly by less than caring fishermen. The bits of squid they left on the sea wall had attracted thousands of flies by afternoon. Not a good advert for our sport.

Totally agree with you all. Leaving rubbish is unexceptable; fishing and in day to day life. In my kayak if i find floating plastic bags or bottles i store them and throw them away when i return home. If you see anyone discarding litter i suggest you make a point of it and pick it up in front of them, make sure they see you. Dont bad-mouth them and show them by your actions. The memory will stick, perhaps they might think twice next time?

Hi, this was just one of the alcoves on the breakwater at Holyhead last week. When we got there fires were still burning, disposable BBQs were lying around etc, When Stenna ban fishing they will wonder why. angry Cheers..Mick

What fisherpersons tend to forget mick is that Stene only have to lock those main gates and that will put an end to allo the breakwater fishing in one stroke.

Already in the last 2 months ive heard that Bridlington and scarborough are talking about banning fishing on the piers because of rubbish left lying around, one day it will be beaches only, and even that can be stopped.
