Hi
I am planning to go out early in the morning as the tides are high around 6-7am can anyone suggest a good mark to try? I was thinking maybe Hythe!
Any suggestions would be helpful!
Fished Dungeness last Tuesday night 30/6, huge winds, freezing cold had to take shelter next to the two boats, met the captain around 2am and he said screw going out in this and went home!
Caught 2 plastic bags, 1.2 Tons of Weed and a rig I had lost earlier that night! but apart from that BLANKED!!!! so did the two other people I saw packing up early!
Where is the best place to get a key from and also cost????
Thanks |

Hi Martyn,
I see that no-one else has bothered to reply, so I took pity on a poor lost post and decided that I'd send you a reply.
Your question ..."where to get a key and cost" must have lost the interest of most readers, being as this is (please forgive me for pointing it out), a FISHING related site.
Funny to note though, that I did read the other day, someone asking for tips on catching bass on, of all places, www.locksrus.co.uk. Yes, it's a strange old world. The advice of most locksmiths was that the poor demented soul (or should it be Sole?) should look on this actual esteemed website.
Now, as I'm temporarily unemployed and completely crap at fishing, (as my last 5 blanking visits bear testimony - I can't even catch f****** mackerels) it does leave me a little time to reply on more esoteric issues, such as locksmithery.
To the question in hand, i.e. the cost and best place to procure a brand new key. This depends, in no small part, on two factors, viz; 1)The type of key / lock you are using, and 2) Where the bejeezus you're actually based, niether which you specify.
Assuming that its a normal Yale type nightlatch cylinder key, then Timpsons is as good as anywhere (though a bit dear if you ask me) and cost £1.50 - £2.50.
Next week questions on "Buddhism & Fishing; Are they Compatible"
All the best,
Spratman |
