well i went out for the first time with the feathers, went to shoreham, off the beach just up from the harbour.
big numbers onthe move so got stuck straight into them. walked away with 7 mackys and a big smile on my face.

Yes they are there alright - in fact went out yesterday and there was a bait ball of thousands of small macks (4-6 inches) being buzzed from underneath by I do not know what - probably (obviously) bass. This was just as the entrance splits to harbour/river. Cruise around it several times with lure - nothing. Outside harbour entrance again thousands but mainly six-eight inches. Also lots of mullet all along river up to railway bridge 3 hours before HT - no point fishing for them mullet though unless you have the patiance of a saint!!!!!

Lots of small bream to mack strips but all returned.

Fair bit of weed around as well.
