Hi guys n gals, as you probably know by now the Holyhead trip was a complete success. Myself and Rabbi2 have been chatting about organising another one but this time on the East/N east coast, at the moment were still kicking it around, but we thought somewhere near Kilnsea, Spurn, might be a good place. The reason for this is so the lads n lasses from the east n N/east coasts could attend if only for the day. It would probably be around the last week in August, 1st week of september, If anyone fancies it can you let us know on here so we can start getting some info on campsites etc together. Also and its only my opinion, it might be better to make it a meet and not a comp, open to anyone with or without kids . Cheers..Mick
PS, all suggestions welcome, as long as they are physically possible.

i'd be up for it if i'm not going away think it might be better to just have it as a general meet rather than a comp so everyone can enjoy the fishing rather than running around like a headless chicken to the shouts of CAMERA

Ive been checking out campsites on that part of the coast, so far they only have a few pitches or none at all for tents. The only big sites i know are at filey,so if anyone has local knowledge it would help. not all sites are on the net, or on the same websites. Cheers..Mick |

mick i might be stating the obvious but have you been on ukcampsite.co.uk if you use the advanced search you can put what you want ie tent pitches, close to beach, electrics all sorts of things

The biggest and cheapest i can find is Crows nest at Filey (Gristhorpe bay) its £15 a night up to 4 people. Tourers the same,
Its free showers, dogs on a lead, Bar, Swimming pool, Fish shop, Shop etc.
http://www.crowsnestcaravanpark.com/filey-tent-camping.asp
Its still open to suggestions, but as far as fishing goes its a good area. |

Hi Keith, ive stayed there but in a caravan, its not bad, Theres fishing from Sandsend down to Hornsea area depending how much people are willing to travel, but as i said its still open to any suggestions, the date for that one would be the 4th sept. to the 6th before this is still peak season so its dearer. Cheers...Mick |

Ive checked out every site i can find, Unless someone local can come up with something else its looking like N/east coast. Slippery Eel lives in withernsea, im hoping he can come up with an idea or two. |
