Well a day late but still managed to get out as the weather cleared up. Low tide was at 5ish so i went and sent up at 4. At about 4.20 i launched my first bait which was squid on a two hook flapper with size 4 hooks. at 4.40 i just floated the second rig to about 20yds . As i reeled in the first rod i thourght lets put a bit of rag on this time so out flew rag and squid when i had re baited. It was now time to reel in the second rod baited with just squid as well but as i reeled it in i realised it was now baited with a plump looking bream. this bream was well over the legal size but had unfortunatly deep throughted the hook. I had tried to get the hook out many times but didnt sucseed so i yanked the hook and i ripped its mouth. I thourght it was crul putting her back like this. so i took him home for my dad lol.
I went back to the fishing and on the first rod this time there was a nice looking bream on the hook. This one went back straight away.
On the third cast of the second rod a had a small bream less than 1lb so this definatly went back.
Overall this was a good day for me and at 8 i packed up and went home to get some tea.
3 bream 1 keeper will try and put some pics on but i cant find my phone lead to connect to the computer
Bait- rag, mackerel and squid
Rigs- 2 hook flapper, clipped down bomber.
Hook size 4 and 6
Distance all between 20 and 30 yds very close in.
Venue- somwhere in selsey dunt wanna give too much away lol |
