Hi Pete, What happened is rough, and he or they that took your gear need to be taught to leave other peoples possessions alone, but theres 2 points i need to raise, (1) can you delete the F word as swearing, even abbreviated, or with symbols istead of letters is not allowed, and (2) from the title and content of your post you suspect the person or persons may be on this site, and likely to be using your gear. otherwise your warning would be pointless on here, chances are its someone who just saw an opportunity and took it, and your gear is now supporting a drug habit. the most likely place it would be found is on Ebay, a second hand shop or carboot sale etc. I hope the members can help keep an eye out for your gear, and that you get it back, or at least those responsible are caught. Good luck and i hope you get it all back. Cheers..Mick |

Very sorry to hear what happened but Sue has a valid point here.. I dont think its wise to leave anything of any value in a vehicle.
cheers

Really tough luck mate.
As always there is some great advise coming out of here and whilst the old flee bay is the obvious outlet for your items to appear (if your a member, there is a way to request email alerts for certain items, this may make it quicker and easier for your attention to be flagged up to any likely items without having to search the Ebay site every night although I'm not sure how specific you can be. I just thought it may help.)
I also think places like Gumtree (Southampton Area) or Cash Converter Shops may also be worth checking out, simply as these offer "quick cash" turn over which manic_muppet mentioned is the most likely outcome the light fingered buggers want.
Anyway I know I'm out of your area a bit but I have a little bit of spare fishing gear. It's not great but if you need any help to tie you over and keep you fishing till the Insurance has paid out or similar, just drop me a PM, and you can pop round and help yourself. |

The same thing has happened to me in the past. GEAR NICKED from Garage.
I was insured, new for old. Although I ended up with new gear I couldn't replace my 2 Abu 484 rods .
The gear will have been sold on and unfortunately you may catch the person who has bought it not knowing it was nicked.
Cheers keith |

aye keith thats what happened with Toms mate's push bike!
got nicked from thier shed, sold on and his pal saw it! one of his other pals had bought it! small world as he lives 10 miles away!
thankfully the mother of said child gave the bike back!!
but as you say.. not knowing that its stolen is the problem!

unlucky mate, I ALWAYS keep ALL my tackle in my house never in the car or garage. That way its alot less likely to get stolen unless the house is burgled. but thats unlikely. |
