I just signed up after having a nose around this forum - nice to see so many 'local/local-ish' contributors.

I'm in Selsey and have just this week had a first crack at the salt - caught some fine sea-weed too! Hopefully I'll nab some more fishy plunder soon.

I'm just looking at East Beach to Pagham shoreline for now but hopefully I'll pick up some good pointers from this forum and stretch my line further afield very shortly...

Welcome Daft Wader. There's an open invitation for a swff day at HillHead if you fancy coming along. Maybe you'll catch some meat to go with the veg you caught during the week.

Hmmm. light sabre rods are no good here on earth, the fish are wise to that one, Dynamite is the preferred method of catching, but frowned upon by some. big grin big grin big grin

Hello CC - as it stands, I'm already committed that weekend, but if that changes I'd like to get over there...I haven't been over that way for years - is it really true that they knocked The Swordfish' down?...

Hi Daft_wader,

I often fish around your neck of the woods as I spend a lot of free time in Selsey. Perhaps our wading paths will cross.

Hello Chris - why not give me a shout next time your around. We could at least have a quick natter.

I was thinking about nipping over the road this afternoon but some bugger's turned on the wind machine again - why do I ever expect anything else in Selsey?!

Oh well, at least I'm headed inland for some Brownies on Monday...

Cheers

I headed inland for some brownies last month. 732 miles inland to be precise. Went up to Sutherland to fish some hill lochs. Rather enjoyable as you can imagine. The old wind machine was turned on up there as well. Blew me over three times one day.
Caught some Bass today that would give the Brownies a run for their money though.
Best fishes. CC
