Hello all. After a 12 year absence from sea fishing on the East coast I have now decided to fish again from Severn Beach (I live about 1 hr away in Cirencester) but I have some questions :-
1.) Any tips for fishing from this area ?
2.) Has anyone tried using luncheon meat as bait ?
I was going to take up coarse fishing but the call of the sea and the fact you can't eat what you catch changed my mind !

hi stephen, welcome to the site, ive only fished the 7 beach a couple of times,a big tide is best for there a 12 m & over, i prefer to fish between the two 7 bridges at redwick but you want a tide over 10m anything less and there's not much water there, you can get bass conger flatties, you never know whats going to turn up here, but lke breamer said you have portishead and there are some low water marks around there as well.
i tend to head abit further down the channel now where i can fish all day and nite and not lose so much tackle.
