Hi
I have had some great sole of Canvey and they average a good size. Had had them over 2lb.
Big sole come from fishing the third step and the concrete shelter behind Thorney Bay beac camp. Bit of a walk but its worth it.
High water is the time, calm seas at night. Lug bait is best but i have had them on running bottom and fishing two hooks up the line.
Another great spot is fishing at the old paddling pool near Labworth Cafe. Better numbers caught but smaller fish.
Dont over cast is the key 80 yards is fine.
Good luck |

Cheers H
Not fished Canvey b4. Can you park in Thorney Bay car park? How far a walk is it from there, and from other parking?
Sole still being caught now?

What is all this homophobic nonesense. I am sure 'gays' enjoying fishing as much as 'straights'. Moreover, lets get back to the more serious side of life, catching fish. |

Get a sense of humour Fish4Fish. I've been looking at a northern fishing site and they take the p*ss out of everyone especially us Essex boys. Do I take offence? Of course not, lets not get PC on this sight as it's already ruining normal day to day living. Feel free to take the p*iss out of me I won't get upset
concrete. |
