Fished Aberavon Beach today from a kayak trolled the whole length of the beach just off the
surf nowt, but as soon as I got just off the dunes & cast directly into the surf lots of bites
and snatches at the lure but only caught 3 bass, there was was one lovely bang and a run then
gone! Just nice to see some early bass about.

Ps Does anyone have any foolproof method of trolling with thin line 12lb and down without it
becoming more & more twisted, does not matter how many or which swivels I use or which lure, spinner
or plug is used it still happens. Do not want to go back to thicker line. I don't get the problem
when normal static spinning etc only when trolling for long periods! Any solutions please.

Tight Lines All. Regards Kaod

I had the same problem when first spinning until I put a 2ft length of mainline between the lure and the actual mainline itself.

Tnxs for reply Rabbi2 have tried dozens of diffrent methods including another swivel a few feet
from the lure, still get the same problem and find it hard to control the cast when static, the
solution I normally use is for two rods one with 18-20lb & multiplyer which means having to carry
another rod plus I don't like casting light lures with multiplers (if it can go wrong it will lol)

Lo Eyeless, yep that was me were you the gent who asked if I'd caught anything! Looked busy on
both piers hope you had some luck, same on the Shortarm small whiting and doggies. Lost me
favorite lure changed to a plug and knocked it over the side bah. Hopefully be back out tomorrow
though it will be on a orange/flame kayak that white one's a bit hard going went over 5miles there
& back, did you see me puffing lol. whew!
