Just to add one not to eat and thats Mullet caught in Marinas and Harbours, especially where the fish are relatively captive ... they browse on the bottoms of the boats and generally taste a bit metallic as their flesh gets tainted from anti-foul, most of which have some form of metal based ingredient to their make up nowadays, generally copper ... better than the old TBT that they used to add to anti-foul but only just!
The other one not to eat of course is Eels ... an expensive meal if you get caught ... Conger eel tastes lovely if cooked right. |
