Great day's fishing. In fact it could have been better as we were getting right into some good sized fish and the Harbour Master came and asked us to move out of the shipping Lanes and that was that.
I was lucky (well about 7 times lucky) to have had a few keepers. The best weighed in at 3lbs 11 oz. That was enough to take the heavies fish sweep.
But the best part of the day was chatting to some very good experienced anglers and learning a lot about rigs, snoods and different fishing techniques.
Thanks for your company guys. Looking forward to the next one.
P.S.
Cabrat, modesty forbids me from posting photos.

Good pics macer,
I don't fancy playing chicken in the shipping lanes on the 29th ???
Note to myself Have a word with Bob and find out where the big boats come steaming down the Thames ask him to keep clear..... |

To be fair to Bob he said to the Harbour Master that he didn't think he was in the shipping lanes but to avoid a problem he would move anyway.
And the fact remains tide or not, fishing lanes or not. We went from catching fish to not catching fish. |

Bob was in the shipping lane off the westerly bouy but a lot of the charter boats fish there. The boats fishing off the blyth bouys had very little. The fishing defintley improved on the ebb.A great day with good company .Only a couple of coddling coughed up sprats most had shrimp inside a good sign me thinks.Bob has never had a grounbaiter on his boat so CABRAT you could be the first |
