Hi ya

May well try and make it on 06th, - might consider bringing Cabrat with me.
I havent been fishing for nearly 7 weeks - oh the joys of being a wife and mother.
I really enjoyed it there before.

Guys,
I have been reading the post on this spot with interest. I have not managed to get out at all this month, and it looks like my boat trip from Portsmouth on Saturday 31st is likley to be cancelled through bad weather.

If this happens I would quite like to join you guys. My problem might be getting to a takle shop to get some worm bait. Could any of you help out in this instance?

Yep I have seen the details of the jetty. At least I can leave the grapping hook and ropes at home.

A few questions;
At what wind speed does the venue become unfishable/uncomforable?
What size leads would i need?
I have the details for Gone Fishing for bait ordering. I just need to fix up a business meeting in Hemel Hempstead in the afternoon so that i can get away earlier, it will half the journey time? What is the traffic like on M25 in rush hour these days? How long should I allow to get from Hemel to Gone Fishing then down to the Lobster Smack?

Sorry for the questions, will join you guys if at all possible.

To hold the bottom generally 8/9oz grippers

If the wind id too strong then you could a;ways do Grays Wharf.

The jetty is very open to the elements.

Bit windy week last sunday but still out there .

Traffic friday afternoon M25 not brilliant, Clear run from Heme to Gone Fishing about an hour in rush hour double or treble that keep it on traffic reports.
Unless Motorway closed don't be tempted to come off it.

Gone fishing to Lobster Smack bout 10/15 mins.

Good luck poss see you there

Hi Mike

I am coming from Enfield, the trip from Enfield normally takes about 40min to Gone Fishing (with a little traffic) I will not be leaving Enfield till 18:00 ish so I will only have some rubbish frozen lug and squid.

If anyone can get me some bait I will sort them out with the cash when I get there.

See if I can break the land speed record to get there for a decent time. May even set up my shelter!

Matt
